The galaxy s6 is 6 months old now.

Is it worth buying it today? Shouldn' the S7 be out next year?

    Thoughts?

It depends on what you are looking for and how much it costs where you are. For example, the Verizon Note 5 could have been had for $320 at release once factoring in promotions.

And yes the s7 should be out next year

The S6 is definitely worth getting. The only thing the S7 could do in my opinion to improve on the S6 would be to have a bigger battery

Though I like my S6, if I were eligible now, I'd get the Note 5 or wait for the S7. Verizon probably won't get the S6 active, otherwise that would be good too. Tough call. If a phablet is fine with you, consider the Note 5.

I'd wait for the S7, but then I'd probably just want to wait for the S8. So may as well get the six now and enjoy an awesome phone, no waiting.

I say the s6 is still a good buy. Alot of good deals around. Try to get one in good condition on swappa or T-Mobile.

If you are willing to wait then you don't need a new phone right now. FYI the S6 has had a price drop. It's now $579 ish.

A lot of s6 and s6 edge on swappa for $500 - $530 brand new. Be careful though, you may need that Samsung warrant and I doubt you get that from buying on swappa or eBay. My s6 I bought from bestbuy had the rotation issue and is currently at Samsung for repair.

OP T-Mobile.com has the s6 for $500 full price. That's a good deal.

I'd say if you want a smaller phone and don't use the S Pen, go with the S6.

Hardware-wise, it's almost exactly the same with the Edge+ and Note 5.

It's still worth getting as it's still an extremely powerful phone with lots of great stuff, especially that brilliant camera.

If I were you, I would wait untill beginning of next year - price drop is usually significant after Xmas.
