Notifications not working after update

Hi all, my phone had an automatic update about 3 days ago, and since then, my notifications and messaging haven't been working properly. I get notifications for things that aren't there, but the biggest problem is reminders. Sometimes I get them, sometimes I don't, and sometimes the reminders repeat themselves or don't stop once I've viewed the message/item. The other problem is that text messages are no longer showing up on my car. I tried removing the phone and re-adding it. It recognizes the phone, but no more messages pop up on the dash screen. Is there anyway to fix this without uninstalling the updates?
