    If only...
    With all the technology
    With all those processors
    With all that connection speed

It was possible to download more than one update at a time and install more than one update at the same time as downloading more than one update!

Ha way Google get it sorted!

Which update are you talking about? A system update?

If you mean app updates my guess would be due to Android running on a variation of phones. Some phones (i.e. "Budget Phones") aren't as powerful as flagship ones and may struggle trying to update / install 2, 3, 4 + apps at a time.

You can set it up so it updates automatically over wifi when you're not using the phone -- that way it updates while you sleep or just sitting on the table. Once you pick it up you're already updated and good to go.

After working in the computer industry for 40+ years, I still don't trust automatic updates. I have to watch, and have the option to abort an update if necessary.

I don't do it either -- just saying it is an option if he is truly bothered by the 1 by 1 updates.

I too hate auto updating. It really does seem like it takes way too long to download updates.

I wish they'd do like on a mac with major updates where they download in the background and then you can manually install them. Somehow that would make me very happy.
