I've been on 5.1.1 since it came out so not sure what this update is today. In the process of installing. Does anyone know what it is?

It is an ambiguous performance and security update. 662MB in size and can be only downloaded via WiFi. If you Google search KB426709 (S6) or KB426710 (S6 Edge) it will give you more info on the ATT website.

I just noticed mine is updating also. According to the AT&T update website:

Software update includes
Call performance improvements
Samsung and Google security enhancements

Probably the November Android security update from Google with some minor AT&T fixes thrown in.

I noticed the "downloading software updates" on my AT&T Samsung Galaxy S6 and the update is 102.14 MB -- I am running O.S. 5.1.1 so I don't know what you guys are talking about 600-plus MB.

When I am done, I will find out what the update is.

Unfortunately I am still on 5.0.2. It's the G920A version. I thought it was just me but last night Samsung confirmed that there are no updates yet.

Mine said it was downloading the update and then it said "download interrupted." Now where it says "continue updste" is greyed out. Ugh, how annoying. I tried setting the date to tomorrow to fool it but it's still stuck on the same crap.

say please next time dont say it rude
Apologies, did not mean to sound rude.

I searched for an update late last night and it gave me so error message and I was half asleep so don't remember what the error message said.

Hope this helps my battery life. It has suffered quite a bit on 5.1.1 vs what I was getting with 5.0.2

Battery life on my edge has also suffered since 5.1.1, after this update I cleared cache from the recovery menu and in the app menu, google play services zoomed in battery consumption, but after a reboot, it has dropped back to a more normal pre-5.1.1 consumption level.

Re: AT&T Update today

I wiped system cache and all app cache after I finally got around to updating it. Well glad to report it has brought my battery life back to par with 5.0.2.

Received the update last night and now the speech to text (hands free voice to text) is not working. I select the microphone from within the keyboard and nothing happens.

Tries the stock Samsung, SwiftKey and Google keyboards. All do the same. Been through the settings and don't see what may have changed.

Thoughts/ Suggestions?
