Lock Screen (Fingerprint and Pattern), how can I use both options?

Lock Screen (Fingerprint and Pattern)

Is there a way to use either a fingerprint or pattern for unlocking? I know with iPhones you can use your fingerprint, even when prompted for your password. I would like the option to use both (phone is in a running arm band, pattern works best). Please help!

Which do you want to use? It does fingerprint or pattern unlock not both at the same time. It's found under lock screen and security in the options menu.

I would like to be able to do both without changing settings. When I have it in my arm band, I can't use the finger print, so I need to be able to unlock another way. I could change the lock type before and after using my arm band, but it just seems like a pain, and apple users can do both.

Try using the On Body smart lock.

That's definitely an important feature to have

If there's moisture on your fingers fingerprint does not work. Plus if you lend your device to someone, how is he supposed to unlock it

And you should not have to use your complicated EMERGENCY password for that

Is there an official forum where you can suggest that to Samsung?
