Ran out of storage space

I have a 32 gig S6 that I was attempting to put my mp3 collection onto today. I have about 11 gigs of mp3. I put about 8 gigs on and got an error message telling me that I had ran out of storage space. However it shows there is still 12 gigs of unused space on the phone. I only have a handful of apps so why did I run out of space?

Well it was not easy but I got it finally. Only had to try about six different ways before I found one that worked.

Hmm, I don't see any problems there.

If you were trying to copy a large number of files over as one batch, see what happens if you break it up into smaller batches instead.
