Welcome to Android Central! Do you actually see the slider move on its own? It's possible there's a hardware problem with the Volume button.

Does this occur in Safe Mode? https://support.t-mobile.com/docs/DOC-21007

I have this issue and with my device the volume slider does not move but the volume changes on its own. I suspect it is a symptom of the Adapt Sound feature as the issue did not exist before I started using it and it stops when I disable it.

It happens to me when I use headphones, and usually at the gym or running. The volume slider does move and also google now activates. I have to power down to resolve. Yet it works fine if not active.
