    how many years will the Samsung s6 battery last, and do I have to buy a new phone when the battery dies?

    My V551 battery - bought the phone around 2004 - still works fine. It depends on how you treat it. Never let it get below about 35-40% (even if you're going to store it for years - although you'll have to check it every few months with a phone you can't remove the battery from), never deliberately discharge it below about 40%, never freeze it, never subject to temperatures you'd be uncomfortable at. 2004-2016 - not bad for one battery. The phone itself is pretty useless - talk about DUMB phones - but it still does what it did in 2004 (Windows XP login and logout included).
