    Hi,

Please help, my S6 is only 2 months old, I recently update it to Marshmallow about 2 weeks ago and the speaker sound has started breaking up when playing music or watching videos via all apps (i.e. iplayer/youtube, etc.) The sound is fine for a couple of seconds then starts breaking up. Not sure if its a software issue due to upgrading to Marshmallow or just a coincidence? Or maybe its a hardware issue. But it doesn't happen everytime, just happens randomly.

Below is a youtube link to what it sounds like when its breaking up:

try formatting cache partition. if it still does not work then you might have to do a factory reset

Welcome to Android Central! Steps for wiping the cache partition can be found here: https://support.t-mobile.com/docs/DOC-21095.

I would also try Safe Mode, to see if the problem is due to a 3rd party app: https://support.t-mobile.com/docs/DOC-21007
