Is it possible to flash international ROM on Canadian GS6?

Hi there, I have a Fido/Rogers GS6, SM-G920W8, stuck on 5.11 with an Android security patch level from November 2015.

Would it be possible to flash the international Marshmallow ROM on my device, will the flash work and would the band's be the same?

I'm tired of waiting on carrier updates and I really want my Data Toggle back!

As long as your device is sim unlocked you can flash different region firmware for the exact same model

So what do you mean by model? Is it the SM-G920W8 number?

The SM-G920W8 is a Canadian specific model with the exynos 7420 chipset. I'm not sure if there is anything different!

As far as I can tell the international version is the SM-G920F.

Just to be clear, can I flash the ROM from the G920F to the G920W8 to get the latest version and bypass the carrier restrictions like removing the data toggle?

I have looked further into this. The SM-G920W8 is a CDMA phone so flashing fw for the international version which is GSM won't work, sorry

As the Canadian variant is regional variant, the only way to flash the international ROM is to root the phone first
