Got locked out of my phone. Fingerprint not recognized. I forgot my backup password. Wifi and mobile data are off. Google account requires the mobile phone should have wifi on. Don't want to lose my files and all. Please please help!

PS. This is my phone by the way. I bought it last October 2015. I have the receipt, box and all. I was locked out since March of this year and have been trying to find ways to unlock it. I was trying to put possible backup passwords I've used but no success. Anyone please help!

Welcome to Android Central! From the lockscreen, are you able to bring down the notification panel/quick settings toggles? (I can do this on my Nexus 6P.) If so, can you turn on wi-fi there?

I hope you're able to get this solved. In the future, I strongly suggest writing down your password on a piece of paper and keeping it some place secure, like a safe. We see this kind of thing a lot on this forum, and perhaps some people assume the fingerprint sensor will never fail (and therefore don't pay much attention to the backup password they create).
