How do I restore old photo editing functionality?

I have a Samsung Galaxy S6. A couple weeks ago it automatically loaded some update that changed the way I edit and save pictures. I prefer having the edits saved the old way -- how can I fix this?

Is this an app update? If so then you should be able to uninstall the update from the play store.

With the latest update from verizon, I can no longer crop pics.
