    Hi, my problem with this phone started around a month after i first bought it. My folder and back button stopped working but by then it was too late for a completely new replacement and I figured it was not a major problem and learned to work around it. I've had the phone for about 10 months now and i can no longer make or take any calls. The company will not take it back because of a small crack.

    Can it not still be sent to samsung for repair under warranty? Even if you may have to pay?

    Welcome to Android Central! Are you able to boot into Safe Mode? https://support.t-mobile.com/docs/DOC-21007. If the problem persists in Safe Mode, then it's likely a hardware problem. You'd have to bring it to a repair shop. Unfortunately, since there's external damage visible, Samsung would most likely not honor the warranty. They could still fix it if you paid, but it would probably cost more than a local repair shop (although they might do a better job).

    Welcome to Android Central! Are you able to boot into Safe Mode? https://support.t-mobile.com/docs/DOC-21007. If the problem persists in Safe Mode, then it's likely a hardware problem.     It works in safe mode but when I'm not in safe mode it works occasionally

    If it works in safe mode most likely it could be software related.
    As a last resort before forking over cash for repairs you could back up your important data and do a factory reset.

    Since it works in Safe Mode, you may have to uninstall apps one by one until the problem goes away. Unfortunately, it's not very easy to pinpoint a culprit app when it's causing a problem like this.
