Why won't my rington change?

I recently added a new ringtone on my Samsung Galaxy 6S. When I select a ringtone, then power off the phone and turn it back on, it defaults to only ONE ringtone ("Sparkling Melody"), which I don't want. As long as I don't power off, it does retain my selected ringtone, but how can I change it to use the ringtone I select when I do power back on?

Where is the ringtone file saved? Make sure it's saved to the Ringtones directory.

Can you tell me please where the Ringtone directory is?

It should be in the main user directory of Internal Storage. Technically, it's /storage/sdcard0/Ringtones (or sometimes /storage/emulated/0/Ringtones).
