on a Galaxy S6 -- how do you disable safe mode?

Dropped phone in pool two days ago. Initially, dead. Then, after a night in ICU/rice bowl, would turn on, but no screen. Then last night, screen came on - partially -- and today, is on all the way. However, it came on with safe mode on. It says to disable safe mode, you are to restart. Have done so twice, but will not go off of safe mode.
I'm wondering if this is because of the water, to protect it, or.... ??? Confused.
Anyone have any suggestions?

Welcome to Android Central! Are you noticing any problems with the Volume buttons? The S6 goes into Safe Mode if you press and hold Vol Down during the boot process. If the water damage is causing the phone to think Vol Down is always pressed, that might force it to boot into Safe Mode each time.
