Hello,

Apart from dreadful battery life, my S6 has behaved pretty well, until a few days ago.

If I leave it alone and let the screen lock timeout elapse (10 minutes), I will need to press a mixed sequence of home and power buttons to wake up the screen. E.g. Home-home-home (3 presses) will not wake it up, but Home-Power will, and so will Home-home-power, etc.

If I interact with the device before the device times out, the screen wakes up with just one press of the home or power buttons.

The only app that I have interacting with my home key is "Screen Off" (manual standby-and-lock app), which is set as my Device Assistance app, but I have had that installed since Day 1 (in December), and no issues such as the present one have popped up (until now).

Any help in finding the culprit to this odd problem would greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance!

Have you tried uninstalling Screen Off, just to see if that makes a difference? Even if you've had it installed for a while, it's possible an update to either that app or to your system might have caused some sort of conflict.
