Not receiving gmail push notifications on S6 after upgrade

[AC Question]

After the last software upgrade, I'm no longer receiving any gmail push notifications on my home screen. I have to manually refresh my gmail to get new emails and this is annoying. I did a master reset, removed my google account and added back in, checked my settings - notification - ensured all boxes are checked off and have restarted the phone a few times. Still the same issue. Can anyone help?
