My S7A just started having a vertical pink line appear on the screen. Quick search online show this is a known issue. ATT Warranty is sending me a new phone, no questions asked. Not sure if anyone else has experienced this. When you apply pressure to different parts of the screen you can cause the line to flicker which makes me believe it is a loose solder joint or connection somewhere.
Anyways, I will update everyone with info on my new one when I get it. Any tips on easy way to transfer setup would be appreciated as this is my first android phone.
My phone has a manufacturer date of 2016.06.16.

Samsung SmartSwitch App - it works pretty damned good! I've used it on my last three phones... just "backup" the old phone then "restore" to the new phone when you get it. There's only a few minor things it doesn't do and of course I can't remember at the moment what they are. Little stuff...

So far so good. Phone manufactured on 8/17/2016. Kind hoped it was later than that but...
Hoping the purple line doesnt come back.

I just had the same issue appear on my phone two days ago, purchased my phone ~June/July 2016. I'm looking at two options for getting my phone replaced:
    A) Go Through AT&T: they will immediately hand me a Certified Like New phone (likely a previous customer's warranty claim) and I send my original phone back and never see it again.
    B) Go Through Samsung: I send my phone to Samsung, they repair it, and send me back my original phone within 2-3 weeks.

I have a backup S4 Active that I can use should I go with Option B. I am leaning towards Option B since I know i've babied my battery like crazy (only charging to 80% and discharging to 20%).

Any reason I should go through Option A other than I will get an immediate replacement? Any word if those Certified Like New are truly *Like New*? Do those phones have brand new batteries (I expect not)??

I do not believe that these phone are very "repairable" and that is why I went with option one. I have had no problems with the new phone.

When I spoke with the Samsung Rep today and he said the LCD would be replaced on my specific phone and when I asked if that had any impact on its water resistance/ruggedness, he *assured* me that all original functions/features would be restored .. dunno how trustworthy that is but that is the response i got

I'm curious what certified like new means from AT&T, are those previous warranty claims? some1 purchased the phone decided they'd rather have an iPhone (gasp!)? their website doesn't say much about this:

...or beat the crap out of the Active after turning in their "Original" Note 7 while waiting for their "Replacement" Note 7 to arrive! I saw some of those coming back to AT&T when I was getting my "Replacement" (I just used my own Note 5 while waiting)!!! Lots of "Certified" STUFF in those "Back Rooms" since the Note 7 Fiasco!

Agreed, at least I know how I've treated my phone! Also it would be awful to get a CLN phone and have the pink line show up beyond 90 days! At least with a Samsung repaired phone I can hope they *fixed* the issue!
