Help!

Mt S7 edge was working completely fine when I plugged it in to charge last night. In the morning I woke up to find it very hot. I unplugged it and left it to cooldown (this has not occured before and the phone suffered no damamge prior to this).
Once cool, the phone will now not turn on, however the red charging light is still lit. It also doesnt register being plugged in to charge or to a computer, ringing the phone doesnt have an effect.
I've tried a hard reset (home +vol down) and nothing happened. The red light is still on.
I've tried all combinations of home vol down, vol up and the back button. Nothing produces any effect.

Suggestions?

Thanks

Update: the red light has now gone off after approx 10 hours of being on.
Plugged back into charger, no response from plugging it in or trying to reboot.

Welcome to Android Central! Unfortunately, that sounds very bad.:-\ The motherboard or battery may have failed. Let it charge on a wall outlet undisturbed for at least 6 hours, then try powering on by pressing and holding Power for about 20 seconds. If nothing happens, then you'll either have to bring it to a repair shop, or get a new phone. Sorry!
