    Alright, I have some news that will hopefully calm everyone down.

    I've checked our internal system and spoke with our Samsung rep and anyone who preordered before 3/1 will receive their phones on or by 3/11. Anyone after 3/1 STILL could receive their devices by 3/11, But is not guaranteed.

    The date on the site is incorrect and when the demand got high for the Silver version, Verizon changed the date on the item page incase they couldn't delivery on launch day. This in turn also affected people's order date as well.

    All i can say is this, A lot of people on here, XDA and reddit are canceling their orders which is even better news for those who are being patient.

    People need to stop calling in to CS, They have no way of knowing how the phones are being shipped, Where they are and how many.

    Well since I ordered on the 1st I'm still glad I switched to the black just to be safe, thanks for the info!

    I don't suppose you got any info on if we should be worried about getting the Gear S2 or which model it is?

    Well that does make me feel better I suppose, I guess it's just wait and see at this point, we are close enough to the release date and far enough into preorders I feel like doing any fiddling will just make a worse mess now anyway lol.

    That sort of aligns with the hunch I had. It's good to know i'm all set since I ordered before that time period. Thanks for the heads up.

    So I just got a shipping notification for my UAG case and it "may take 21-30 days" from Hong Kong. Lol. I wonder if Verizon owns them too.

    For those who are asking about the VR headset and S2 watch.

    Both deals are done online through Samsung. If you are looking for the S2, you have to Preorder online through device payment only, not in store, not full retail and no 2 yr contract.

    The VR headset is the same deal online or in store.

    It only makes sense that 3/31 is a placeholder. You would think Verizon would have enough to meet the first day pre order demands for silver. Everyone who ordered silver has the pushed back date regardless of ordering first day or ordering today. If it was a inventory issue you would see people who ordered silver on day one with a earlier release date, but I have yet to see a silver edition pre order still with the 3/11 date.

    FYI for those who love calling CS and speaking with them about this problem, they have as much knowledge as a random person would if you were to ask them on the street. DO NOT listen to what the CS people say, unless its a press release from VZW. Most of the reps simply read a script and or search scenarios in their system. When they dont know what to say they will tell you anything to get you off the phone.

    Ahh, I bought a silver one on the announcement day and my order date says 3/31 which is hopefully a placeholder. Wish I could change the color to black because I'll be traveling toward the end of March.

    Thanks Joe. My Verizon app says 11/17/1858. . Verizon rep told me 3/31 (ordered intro day). She said the reason for delay is Samsung put a hold on S7 edge production... Guess they'll say anything to get you off the phone.

    I still haven't ordered. This make me want the Silver more then the Black.

    Guess I'll check corporate stores on the 11th and see if I can pick one up. There's about 4 corporate stores near by.

    Any idea of in store stock on the 11th?

    Thanks Joe! Any ideal if that applies to Verizon silver edge phones ordered thru Best Buy also? Seems to apply but though i would ask.

    Do you have advanced calling activated in the device settings? Settings > Cellular > Cellular Data Options > Enable LTE > "Voice and Data"
    Beyond that, you just need to be in a 4G area. If your in a 3G area, then the phone has to use the 3G to talk, and you won't be able to use it at the same time for internet.

    Can I ask why all the other carriers seem to ship their preorders out early but Verizon doesn't?

    Also - how can we claim the S2 watch? What information do we need (i.e - order number, receipt?)

    I pre order on 2-23-16.
    My delivery date did show 3-11-16 then changed to 3-31-16.
    Now my delivery date is back to 3-11-16.
