Yes please keep us informed on the battery life. Geez I need it to at least last all day without turning anything off, making adjustments to this and that, etc. Always been my major gripe with Sammys, the phones are battery hogs. No good in having the perfect phone and it doesnt last throughout the day. May have to get an extended battery for my uses. I've gotten spoiled with my 6s+.
Truth to be told my Nexus 6p has pretty same kind of battery life.

Meaning same as iPhone battery or the current phone (edge)? I know all users are different and battery life varies per individual, but would you consider yourself a light, moderate, or heavy user?

Every user is going to be a heavy user the first few days with this phone lol

    Smooth sailing atleast for me.

The gfx tests I ran did make the phone warm but I wouldn't call it got.
    That's good to hear!

Yeah, you'd expect the phone to heat up a bit during benchmarks, that's perfectly normal, as benchmarks stress the CPU and GPU to their absolute maximum. Actual games that you'd play in the real world tend to be less demanding than benchmarks.

Does this shows notifications on edge screen like it does in previous edge models?? Like tiny bit of text in corner of side screen??

    Have you tried bluetooth headset?
Can you get it to automatically read your text messages out loud.
    Does it have SVoice?

Only Samsungs apps (phone, messaging and email) will show notification icons on it.
Well, this information almost completely ruins that feature.

I agree, it'd be nice if it supported things like Gmail/Outlook etc.

Here is a guy who has been reviewing the S7 Edge battery life for a while. Its in Italian but you can see his results pretty clearly via the screenshots. One test had over 16hrs on battery, 5hrs of SoT, 2+hrs of talk time and had about 11% left if I recall. That'll do for me and then some!

I believe they said during the keynote that they made the APIs public so developers can work on taking advantage of edge features, I was hoping that would extend to the always on display as well.

Hopefully. Another question is will developers support them

I wonder if the same limitations are on the G5 as well. I imagine from a dev point if view that there needs to be a critical mass of people wanting/using a feature to make it worthwhile to include it. If always on displays become the next big trend that will only help the user, regardless of the device

I think G5 always on display will show notifications from all the apps...

Samsung should have done it the same way as Motorola has done, justa a notification system listener.

I do agree! I'm fine with my battery life really. As long as it gets me through the day comfortably I'm happy.

Not sure if this has been asked. Do you see keyboard lag like the S6 had.

So I got my Galaxy S7 Edge today. Yes, it's the real deal. I don't know what my local carrier has done (mistake or special deal) but I received an email yesterday that my parcel was shipped. And today it was ready for pickup from our parcel point. I live in Finland and we dont really get the devices here first ever, so this is somewhat really really special case here.

So I did a little unboxing video :

Sorry for the little low quality, my camera was acting up for some reason.

I am also happy to answer all questions you have. Still haven't had a much time with the new beast.
I wish the U.S. (Verizon) would ship early but they're probably putting their crap on my phone.

Pretty much don't trust anything any company's support says. They're all hiring the cheapest labor they can find, and initiative is frowned upon.
