It's a beautiful device to be sure. First of all I have no idea what everyone's so concerned about with the silver being too reflective. It's gorgeous and 99.9% of us will be putting it in a case so that the entire back will be covered anyway. All we'll see are the top and bottom bezels which are subdued and tasteful. BTW, there's almost no way to distinguish between the silver and gold as they look almost identical. Not sure if that's a good or a bad thing, but that's the case.

I was surprised how small the S7 Edge was. It's hardly any bigger than the S6. I was also surprised that the screen is not as much bigger than the S6 as I had hoped and assumed it would be. It's just a bit incrementally bigger. But bigger is still bigger so I guess it's still a good thing. The curved sides are very cool but will take a bit of getting used to as I've only owned flat-screened phones in the past. I was pleasantly surprised to see that I had no problems inadvertently triggering actions by placing my fingers on the sides of the phone. That was reassuring. I still think I'll be using Nova as I'm still not a fan of TW though, to be fair, it seems they've toned it down markedly. Similarly, Swiftkey will be replacing the stock keyboard instantly.

Played a bit with the camera and I have to say it's low light capabilities are simply amazing. In a whole other league from the S6. It's fast and the pictures I took were razor sharp and completely in focus.

Thanks for sharing your thoughts. Samsung did a great job keeping it slim.

The difference between 5.1" and 5.5" are already small. Couple that with slightly curved edges and it will make it seem even closer.

I wonder how functional the edge screens will be on Nova? Any at all?

I actually could very easily tell the difference between the silver and gold. Maybe it was the lighting inside of the store. I've always said that I thought around 5.1in is the sweet spot, but I'm thinking I was wrong. That 5.5 inch was very comfortable. Although, it may be a little much once I put on a case. Might end up having to go without a case

I agree entirely. I have always felt that the Notes were too large and the 5.1" on my S6 to be a bit too small. The fact that Samsung has designed a phone almost the same size as the S6 and gotten a 5.5" screen on it is amazing. 5.5" is the perfect sweet spot.

I saw it In person too and the silver might as well have been a mirror. I could tell a big difference in screen size and the gold/silver color. We had a very different experience obviously. Haha. I loved how both felt in the hand.

I've gone to 2 different best buy and the difference between gold and silver are huge. The gold is golden than it was with previous models, I would actually say it's almost like copper. Silver is almost chrome really. I think they are both beautiful... personally I didn't like the black

I played with one in Best Buy today. I loved the size, the look, and the feel. It was nice to easily type one handed again. I made up my mind to buy it. I tried Youtube. It made the screen look smaller to me. The curves are wasted in video. Finally I tried downloading some readable material. I hated it. Almost made me dizzy. Not for me. I do a lot of reading and scrolling through text with curved edges is just weird.

I'm back to waiting for a Note 5 sale.
