    What card did you use? if you use chase call them and tell them that you authorize the purchase. Thats what I did just to make sure everything will go smoothly.
    I used my AMEX, and I just called them to make sure everything was OK. He said when it comes to AMEX they normally charge it once u pick up the item. Still sitting here waiting on a call or email telling me it's ready, I have the day off so it would be nice to get it today so I can fiddle with it.

    Thats good. Keep checking your email and your order status in bestbuy site. This morning around 9 AM my order was still "Preparing item for pick up" then after an hour it changed to "Ready for pick up". You should get yours anytime soon now.

    Just spoke with the Best Buy that I pre ordered with (I had to call them, I was growing impatient.) according to them AT&T is being stingy with the preorders and they are waiting on the next shipment which is expected today so I may be getting it tonight... I really hope so, I'm tired of using this damn iPhone that I promised my gf I would try. How are you guys checking the tracking of your orders? I can't figure out where it is on the receipt or where to put it in online, lol.

    Just picked mine up. Took 4 minutes from in the door to leaving for an unactivated att model!
    I went in and they said all att and Verizon models are not ready. Apparently they're system is down. I bought mine outright and unactivated, but they still would t release it. Another side note I noticed the Main Samsung rep had a nexus phone. He didn't even hide it. Had it out on the table and was proud to say.

    I too got an error for their automated activation system. Lady with best buy customer service said this is happening to a lot of people and it could take 24-48 hours to resolve.

    So I was at my local Target, and my local Best Buy is next door, couldn't resist going in to play with my future phone (got home delivery). Not much hullabaloo happening, but did play with the VR. Great experience, can't wait for my own. But a heads up, I grabbed the one steelseries status xl Bluetooth controller left on the shelf. The 2 minutes I was playing with the VR was enough to realize a controller is going to make the experience much much better. And once the hoardes of new VR owners realize the same it may be hard to find a controller quickly. But then again, there's always Amazon.

    Ugh. I need an insider at Best Buy. I live an hour from my closest store. I have a pre-order through Verizon for a silver s7e but it hasn't been shipped yet. Even though lots of others have. I would drive to BB, if I could find a way to get them to hold me an s7e, and just cancel my Verizon preorder.

    unless i'm mistaken no verizon pre orders via best buy have shipped yet. Should happen today but then the question becomes how long will it take. Some say Wed, Some say in time for original Friday release, and some say Monday the 14th. I doubt its next monday and is only what you see if you order one today. My guess is most of us who ordered early will see sometime between wed/fri

    Buying outright. I decided to have patience and wait to get my black one that I originally pre-ordered. My pre-order from BestBuy is listed as "Preparing for shipping" so I'm hoping sometime later today it will switch to shipped and I'll get the phone in a few days.

    Yep. So I sauntered over to the store, bright and early. The woman had my phone, it had my name on it, she started to process it, and whoops! My SKU# "wasn't being released." It's a "corporate glitch." There I was, sitting near my phone, and I couldn't have it. I don't when the situation will be fixed. I am a wee bit....UPSET!!!

    (AT&T in case you're wondering, but it's a Best Buy problem, apparently)

    So I went to 3 Best Buy's at lunch, the first one would sell me a walk-in with an outright purchase for the S7 edge on AT&T, except they only had Gold. I wanted the Silver...They said to check back this afternoon or tomorrow and they should have more. I decided to try 2 other Best Buy's and neither of them would even sell me one at an outright purchase as a walk-in.

    Aw yea, guess who is posting from their new phone?!

    Since we are switching from Sprint to Verizon we also received a $200 gift card per line which I didn't know about. So we got $200, Gear VR, SD card and our phones 4 days early. How can you beat that?

    I hope so, seeing all these pics of phones is making me extremely anxious LOL. I did a live chat and the guy told me all he can see is that it's to arrive today but no additional info, I'm going to wait a bit more, before I call the store.
