My android system usage is at 23% today and I'm down to 50% battery with just 1.5 screen on time. Is there any way to fix this?

I uninstalled Nova after reading the post today. At the time (after around 4 hours off charge) I had 2h56m Stay Awake. In the 6 hours after uninstall it was only at 2h58m.

I'm just using the touch wiz launcher. Does a factory reset fix the android system drain or is it a waste of time?

CPU total for android system is 4 hours 32, with it using 28% battery. 2 hours screen on time and 32% battery left. Pretty rubbish really!

I charged it to 100% before going to bed. Cleared all apps before going to bed out of the multitasking tray and it had 15min of SOT. nearly 8 hours later this is what I got! This is, honestly, pretty bad. I expect more :( ...

Yea, that is bad staying awake for 7 hrs. Google needs to fix their **** & get their act together. I'm so sick of Google messing up the battery life on Android phones. It's been like this since I started using my Android device which was a Galaxy S2.

The battery on mine has been better than all my previous phones (the PRIV was good but this has been better). I've been on battery for 12h 38m 22s with a screen on time of 3h 49m 7s, still have 59% battery left. I've been doing some emails, Internet use, phone calls and texting.

Battery life is probably my biggest frustration with android. Get a phone with a nice big battery, see all the reviews saying how good it is. Experience it first hand for a bit and then something changes and it all goes wrong. No new app installs, nothing obvious, just big battery drain for no apparent reason. Maybe Google pushed an update to play services that did it I'm not sure but it's seriously annoying. Feel like I want to try a factory reset but don't want to do it if it won't make any diffidence!

Another pretty poor day with mine. Granted, over 5 hours screen time is good but before the latest update a day like today (not using 4G) would have easily hit 9 hours. That Android System drain and Stay Awake time is completely massive compared to before the APD3 OTA broke it.

I am not sure why you're expecting differences in android system percentage use and screen percentage use from your previous phone. Percentages should be the same. Uptime should make a difference though. Or were you talking about the 6hrs?

Has anyone with android system drain done a factory reset? Did it fix the problem? I'm tempted to try but it's a bit of a pain so don't want to bother only to find the problem still there!

One of my biggest issues was changing the location setting from High Accuracy to GPS Only, that alone allowed my phone to doze properly and lose only 3-5% overnight. This is on a VZW model.

I was going to try that but the phone would't allow loaction added to camera photos with it on GPS only.
