This still seems to be my main issue. Don't know what it is or what it does, can find very little info about it, and others don't seem to have it on their phones at all. It still runs if you disable it in Package Disabler too.

I still wish I could figure out how to lower OS. Most people on here are in the 20s for the OS. I'm always either in the 30s or 40s

And really it shouldn't even be more than 10%, going by any other Android phone I ever had. Rooting might be the only way to figure out what's doing it.

I did the software update yesterday and battery life sucked. Is there away I can get rid of this update, and go back to how it was originally?

I couldn't take the battery life anymore for my uses. Awesome media device, but I don't watch movies or youtube videos on my phone all day to see 8-10 hours of screen on time. My norm was 2hr 45min - 3hr. 4 hrs when reading or videos. I felt like the commercials Sammy used to make fun of the iphones for, wall huggers. Constantly plugged, at work, in the car, at home. The phone had to go. Sammy for me always start off well, then go downhill after carrier updates.

Were those 41min gaming? But that's still pretty high. How good is signal for you usually? On perspective, here's my usage at 81%, spend gaming on Clash of Clans and browsing Facebook and Tapatalk. Pardon the red screen filter.

Battery life has to be my biggest frustration with android. This phone has such potential with a big battery and for some it works well. But for many there are hidden processes and battery drainers going on that just spoil the experience. It's a shame. Especially when the release firmware was so good and the updates have made things worse

I really thought they might have fixed it this past update. I'm probably worse for having any faith in them.

I'd take gsam, battery monitor and as many apps as I could off the phone.
Apps take up battery life.
Back up your data and reset the phone.

My apps don't even take up 2 pages of the drawer and I never use gsam. Reset it two days ago and after 1 good day of battery, it's back to rubbish now.

Meanwhile my biggest battery drain is still OS. Wish I knew what was causing it to be so high so I could turn it off
