This is it! I am very satisfied it is so minimal. In picture it looks black but it is a light silver in between the gold swooshes.

Yep! Seems like the normal "death star" everyone has become accustomed to on AT&T.

To me their new one is pretty minimal versus the old one with the huge check and over-exaggerated Z.

AT&T's logo has always looked better than Verizon's.

I like the way T-Mobile's logo looks on this phone the best.

By not branding it you mean? I think they stopped after the Note .. I want to say 4. I haven't seen a T-Mobile logo in a little while.

i see what you did there.

personally i'm fine with AT&T's branding. the globe looks fine. verizon is moving in the right direction, but their logo being just terrible in general doesn't help.

at least there hasn't been anything as bad as the note 2 button logo. (not counting the droid turbo 2 logo)

sometimes i think the design people at verizon just want to see how far they can go and still have people buy their stuff.

The bigger question is: do we still get the terrible generic AT&T box for our phones or do we actually get the really nice packaging that Samsung came up with here? I just don't get why AT&T feels like it has to use its own generic box for everything...

That makes me happy. I don't know why it drives me nuts that they do that. I guess it's because it's just more of the carriers meddling in stuff that makes no sense to meddle in.

I'm glad ATT didn't remove that little USB conector. Here's a video of s7 edge unboxing:
