Anybody else have problems with touch screen too quick to register a touch? Specifically, when I scroll, then lift my finger, it detects that as a touch and either selects the word my finger was on or activates the link my finger happened to be on. It really gets maddening sometimes. I can be scrolling through android central, and when I lift my finger to go back to the bottom of the screen and scroll some more, I'm headed off to some link I had no desire to visit. Anandtech mentioned it briefly in their review, but curious to see how many others are having this issue. It's not predictable, sometimes it behaves for a while, other times it does this on every scroll. I find myself searching for white area to touch when I'm scrolling to avoid there being anything to "mis-click" on when I lift my finger from the screen. PS: I refuse to add a screen protector.

I hope there is a fix. Too quick. (Can't believe we are now talking about slowing it down..) Apple forum members are talking some about how the FingerPrint reader is too fast for some

Well it's a relief to see more users affected. I don't want to return it right away and end up with a different unit with a different issue, as mine is pretty perfect otherwise. I did switch to Adblocker Browser (very smooth) as Chrome was stuttering on ad-heavy pages.

First time posting here. I normally just read the comments but I couldn't stay on the sidelines for this one. I was having the exact same issue with the keyboard and thought I was going crazy until I figured out what a happening. It's not the edges of the screen. The entire touchscreen is too sensitive. If you hold your fingertip about a millimeter or so off the screen, the phone registeres a touch input. That's why the keyboard acts crazy. I noticed it when the phone kept opening links in Web pages without me telling it to.

You can test this by activating the developer options and turning on "show touches". Hover your finger over the display to see how inaccurate the touchscreen is.

Well, this never resolved, and since I can't get a replacement without waiting, I considered other options.

Ended up going to a Note 5. Love it. The screen looks better to me (never mind DisplayMate saying otherwise).

    I will miss:
    • Always on display
    • IP68 water resistant
    • Whitepages... oh, no I forgot, Verizon robbed us of that
    • Low light camera ability

I will always gravitate to products that have Wacom or other pen capability, so that's huge in the win column.

Also, despite the evidence of a faster processor, web pages scroll more smoothly on the S6 Edge/Note 5 processor.

Finally, I like having the 4.0 version of the Samsung browser now rather than "whenever" because it has the AdBlock Fast option. This makes for some pretty sweet browsing experience that I couldn't have on the S7 Edge.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not dumping on the Edge, it's a great phone. But neither am I feeling short-changed to end up in a Note 5.

Which phone did you have before you got the S7 edge?

You replaced it because the screen was too sensitive? :O

Was it really that bad? And did the Note 5 cost you lesser?

Lifting finger after scrolling fired the link my finger was touching (or the picture in Gallery etc etc.)

It was unusable to me. Note 5 is $4/Mo cheaper, not a consideration
