There is a very comprehensive review (15 parts at last count) of all the Nougat changes on sammobile.com.

I have mine up and running. It did take a while. I do noticing quite a few changes from beta 1. It's going to be quite different for Marshmallow users. I am really liking it.
Mine's still working. Did it include Google Assistant?

No it does not. It will be a separate update from Google via Google Play Services update.

Is everyone going to just stick with the upgrade once it's done or a do a full wipe/clean install?

The wipe/clean install is horsepucky. I've had a lot of phones and never did that after an upgrade with zero problems. Nougat just updated on my 7e and is working fine.

It is a not a requirement but it is good practice to do so, especially after a major upgrade. I will be doing a factory reset myself. It just eliminates any conflicts you could have with remnants from the old software.

Full factory reset seems wasteful. Honestly, best things to do are to install the update and then clear the App Cache and the System Cache. That's about it.

No Google Assistant. We're waiting on Google for that. They're doing their usual let's roll this out as slow as possible. They have to change it server side.

There's no real reason to wipe. If you have any issues, sure that's a good idea. However, I find that I never have the need.

Were you aware that secure folder was baked in to Verizon's Nougat build? There is an update for it in the Galaxy Apps store today just in case you do not have auto updates turned on in Galaxy Apps.

Thanks for the reminder, but not seeing any benefit for this yet. Financial apps all have two-factor now, really need to add another layer? Not seeing something?

I do not use it myself. I guess it can be beneficial for using multiple accounts. I am not too familiar with its functions.

Quick question, if I buy the Verizon variant (not the unlocked version) directly from Samsung, can I just pop in my current sim from my iPhone 7 without having to call Verizon? I know I can buy directly from Verizon and do that, but I can get a free 128 GB memory card plus no tax direct from Samsung.

Yep. You just pop the SIM in and go.

Why Verizon why. This is so stupid. And you wonder why things take forever to roll out. It's because of crap like this that is totally not needed.

I guess these developers at VZ have nothing better to do.
Good news. Someone on Reddit pointed this out to me, but Verizon actually gave you the option to CHOOSE between styles. On the settings screen, clicking the ellipsis (3 dots) gives you the option to either choose a condensed list (new Samsung style) or the "classic" Galaxy style. When I upgraded (did not factory reset), all my settings from before were retained.

Verizon gets a point for this.

I am glad they did that. Other variants do not have this option☺

I had no idea. Now that's something. I flipped back to the new style but I can honestly go either way. Thanks for sharing this tip.

Nouget killed foxfi on my s7 edge... is there any work around besides using the carrier hotspot. I'm on the old unlimited plan and used foxfi every once in a while. Sadly it stopped working after update.

No work around as of yet. For this type of discussion you might want to find a site that allows you to talk about FoxFi is it prohibited on AC.
