Hmm.. I'm now quite intrigued with what the HTC 10 will bring, compared to the s7 edge.. losing the waterproofness and 600mAh of battery (and of course the edges) but seems solid.. and less breakable heh 😅 I guess I'll have to test them out and see if it's worth a metal body

Losing waterproofing and wireless charging... No go for me... I'll be sticking with the s7 edge for awhile

I think one of the things that may dictate my purchase are cost (obviously.. HTC 10 is $100 cheaper for more storage), camera (both are currently tied for #1 camera), and Dev-friendly (root is usually nicer on HTC than Samsung historically).. I'll see how the reviews treat it and decide from there.. wireless charging is a big give up, but USB C is the future as I see it, and if I'm keeping the phone for a year or more, I definitely want the most future proof. I'd love to see you guy's opinions though :)

yeah i suppose it matters what you are looking for, i'm only seeing the 32gb option available right now so no more storage, it's the same, i don't root so that matters not to me, and neither does the future proof.. (A) there is no such thing, and (B) if i keep a phone for 2 years thats a stretch so my next phone will have whatever standard it is then (usb c) so be it, i honesty never plug my phone in to anything, wireless charging and cloud storage is to convenient, not that i mind the looks of the htc but i'm very happy with my edge and the htc gives me no cause for even considering it, if you have not made a purchase i'm sure you will be happy with either, but like i said, water resistance and wireless charging makes the choice real easy for me

No offense but the future proof thing cracks me up..... Not like all Micro USB cables are going to disappear in the next 6 months or year. Even if you keep it for 5 years you will still be able to get the micro USB cables.

Now if you transfer large files a lot you might be able to argue that USBc is an advantage.

I too is Wireless charging all the time and that, to me, is more future proof.

I don't see any advantage to going to the HTC 10

So you survived the wedding.

Yes and I survived it vertically (a few more shots could have been a different story)!!! Left about 10 pm with an 1.5 hr drive home to sleep.8 hrs then up flying! With as much as I spent on just being a bridesmaid I easily could have paid off my phone well half of it! Around $635!

I woke up to this after a 70 degree day yesterday. Looks like the ride home is going to be horrible. Four hours...boo.

Oh... BTW the way i keep photos from turning sideways in the app is to take them with the camera and upload them from the image instead of upload from camera in Tapatalk

Oo the screenshot might not be easy to read with the red background and it sort of see through to see Akatsuki lol. Here is a better one.
