Since the last TMOBILE update, I no longer see the sd card notification.
Install the app called SD Monitor and see if it still shows unmounts. Some have said all that the update did was remove the constant popups and the problem still exists. Al this was, was a coverup to the real problem.

Hmmm, not sure what you mean. I rather not install another app if not needed. So far, the constant pop-ups no longer exist after each reboot. I have removed the sd card and put it back, still no pop-ups. I am able to view my pics an videos with no problem. So I guess the issue is resolved. Maybe more T-Mobile users can chime in?

The pop up message that everyone in this thread was complaining about, was caused because the SD card was being ejected each and every time you got that message. It appears that the last system update simply disabled that notification from popping up each time the SD card ejects.

All they did was prevent you from knowing the SD card is randomly being ejected without actually fixing the problem. They swept it under the rug.

SD monitor will tell you how many times the SD card is still being ejected.

Is the SD monitor app infested with ads?
Is this app "SD Card Monitor" that was last updated in 2013?

I still get the SD notification after a reboot.

I've seen no ads in the app.

That's the app. All it does is tell you how many times the SD card mounts/unmounts/bad removal/ejected which is what is happening with people in this thread.

I've been lucky enough to not have this problem on either one of my two S7 Edge phones.

So to sum up there is no cure other than to get a refurb and hope for the best?

The latest update on Verizon fixed that for me. Though now I have the password unlock problem.

How is this thread still alive? SD card being unmounted/ejected during reboot? How is that surprising at all?

Its not at reboot, it happens at random.

Only some people had the random sd card message pop up. I only had it on restart.

On restart it's expected. Other times it's not.

Are people just not wanting to make warranty claims for this?

I've had my warranty replacement for 2 weeks now. Not having the issue on this handset.

No other phone I have owned has given such a warning and they all had sd cards.

I'm still having the SD eject issue. The notifications are gone since the update, but the SD monitor shows the card ejecting at least twice a day. It's real inconvenient when it happens while trying to take pictures. I didn't warranty it because my local Best Buy (and every one within a 50 mile radius) has not had stock on the Verizon S7 Edges since the first couple of days they were released. (?!?!) The manager of the store told me he would replace it new under the 14 day return policy once they came in. Almost two months later and still no shipments.

Has any other phone you've had had both an SD card slot and Marshmallow AND not allow adoptable storage?

Some people made warranty claims, and for the most part those that did got replacements that were ok.

You could also disable the notification using package disabler.

AND depending on the phone the SD card stuff was "hacked" in anyway, which means the entire implementation was wrong. :P

Not sure. On my first handset, I taped the card in-place. Didn't make a difference. I'm thinking it is more of a mismatch in tolerances of the card size with the height of the pins, on the motherboard. Not too far-fetched, when you think about it.

Have you tried using the SD Monitor app to see if the card is still ejecting/unmounting? It's looking more and more like all the update did was hide the massage from popping up but the actual problem is still occuring.
