WhatsApp Issue

Hoping someone can help me out with this issue.
When I try and call someone via WhatsApp I get a message stating that WhatsApp needs access to the microphone. When I go to the app permissions and try to select microphone I then get the following message:

Screen overlay detected.
To change this permission setting, you first have to turn off the screen overlay from Settings > Apps.

Best I can tell, screen overlay is already off for WhatsApp! What gives. This is very annoying. In fact, most Apps seemed to be greyed out so I can't even change them.

Well, it seems it was an issue with Lux Lite Dash. For Lux Lite Dash to work it needs screen overlay. However, when that is set to overlay then it interferes with other apps. If I turn off overlay for Lux Lite Dash it crashes!
