I was wondering what the consensus was on keeping your wifi on during sleep (obviously except when charging) and receiving notifications when wifi is available.. I'm thinking we're wasting battery life by having it constantly searching and notifying us of networks??
Soon as I leave home or work there really isn't any wifi networks for it to connect to so at least when its in sleep mode in my pocket it's not constantly searching, yes??

Always on would provide better performance. I don't expect a huge battery impact either way. But you can try it, and see how it is

I work in a prison, so there's no WiFi available. My Note 5 sets in my car during my shift. I've left it set there with WiFi both off and on and the standby drain is the same.
