We know that Samsung has been adding the best cameras in the market to their latest flagships for a couple of years now, but even with tons and most of other sites giving the edge to Samsung when comparing with other phones, and mainly against the iPhone counterpart, The Verge has always said that the best cameras were from the iPhones. So today, they finally accepted and with a very good detailed and explanatory video, that the S7 edge camera is king of the hill.

Before the s6, I would agree that the iPhone is king of the hill. But I have had the s6 edge, note 5,s6 edge plus, and S7 edge, iPhone 6 plus, and iphone 6s plus, and honestly... They are all good cameras. S7 is king of the hill partially because it is the newest. It would be interesting what iphone 7 holds up its sleeves, but I suspect that iphone will up it's game.

Now my note 4 still lagged a bit behind the iPhone 6 plus.

the s7 / edge camera has been the most impressed i've been with a smartphone camera since my 5s. the 6/6s camera is okay, but nothing great. while a lot of android OEMs have finally brought it, samsung really outdid itself with the s6 series cameras and now this current generation.

the 6p and 6s i have seem to be more in line with each other, if the 6p camera was faster and less crashy it would be a much better camera, but still not be better than the s7.
