Is it really that much more expensive for a company like Samsung to make 64GB the default in all their high end phones? Can anyone share how much it really would cost them to do this?
Wow some people are never satisfied. On the iPhone forums people are moaning saying that it's a disgrace that the new iPhone comes with 16GB of storage as the base option. Now people are asking for 64GB as the default. The only issue I have with Samsung's storage options is that they took away the ability to pay for more internal storage. I'd quite happily pay for 128GB internal storage. However 32GB with an SD card slot is adequate. When I had the note 3 I had the same set up and didn't struggle. It's when they put 16GB as the base model that I struggle.

I think because the Sammy regulars are used to it they have just left it that way. When I had the Nexus 6 and the Note 5 it was a pain going back and forth but you will get used to it pretty quickly.

Glad that you are enjoying it. I actually prefer Samsung's right back button... Easier for me to use one handed. But to each his own of course.
    I agree!
I actually hate the left back button on my Lenovo Tab, and the worse thing is, I can't put it on the right a la LG style.
Perhaps the physical buttons are backwards for a left hander, but it was built with right-handers in mind I think.

    Thanks for the detailed synopsis!
Same here. For us longtime Galaxy users, the back button has always been on the right side so it would be unnatural for us if it were on the left.

With that said, I've been using Nexus phones at the same time as my Galaxies since 2013 and I have no problem with the button placements when switching between phones. Between the two, I prefer the back button on the right.

Agreed on this one... 32G is a pretty good start, to be honest. For the vast majority of the public, even with the TW overheard, that gives a ton of room for a bunch of apps and still a lot left over for pictures and video (and if you use Google Photos, that effectively gives you unlimited storage). Things start to get messy once you get into a user that likes those massive games and/or take a lot of 4K video... but that part of the user base is a small minority, and mitigated a bit due to the SD slot returning.

Still... considering that Samsung is leader when it comes to making the storage chips here... not having a 64 or 128 option is curious... but should only lead to complaints by a relatively small minority.

    Adaptable storage will help.

I'm running a note 5, but as far as the on screen buttons, enjoy having more screen real Estate with the nice low off screen capacitive buttons on the s7, it looks so much better too in my opinion, I would hate it if Samsung ever changed this
Agreed, I always find myself hitting the back button when typing on phones that have the on screen home button row. Just doesn't seem as ergonomic to have the onscreen keys.

To be perfectly honest, I think the FPS on the S7 is garbage. I have a 6P, and the FPS works near flawlessly. It takes only 6 taps to read a print in and it works 95+%, no matter how my finger is oriented. I registered the index on both hands once, and rarely has a misread. The S7, on the other hand, doesn't seem to work all that well for me. Registering prints took a ton of extra taps for some reason and the only way I could get it to work was to register each thumb twice; once vertical and once horizontal. And even then, it works little more than half the time. And when I do get it to work, I have to be deliberate on how I place my finger. Course, she doesn't seem to have any desire to use the FPS, so I hope this will not be a source of fury. Even the FPS on my little cheapy Honor 5X is easier to set up, faster and more accurate.

But otherwise, Samsung built a damn fine phone this go around. One that lacks that one big fatal flaw that some of the previous S models have had.
This is my first phone with a FPS, so not had any exp. with other ones. I've gone down the route of doing my right thumb twice (obviously use this the most) and my left thumb/forefinger once each. Seems to work 80-90% of the time with my right thumb - and maybe 70-80% with the others. It's fine, but I have read that many other FPS work better.
