This makes a bit more sense; however, the white blur that appears to be the bullet isn't quite straight enough for me to slap a "Confirmed" on it, plus the slide should still be moving - they don't snap back into place that fast. So, bullet: quite possibly. Dark speck: could be the shell, as it seems to be in motion, but the slide is already closed if that's the case(ing).

That's awesome! Mine wasn't taken from a video either. We took a couple videos...and about 20 pics. This was one of 2 pics that caught muzzle flash in them.

During the time the shutter was activated the projectile could have traveled to the target 5 or ten times. There is no way it could freeze enough to see anything. Keep dreaming. Maybe you're seeing the case ejected.
Oh, it's possible to get it to the point where you can see the bullet. I mean, if it was bright enough in there, the camera could have an exposure time of less than 1/3000s.... In that time, the bullet will have really only traveled maybe 4" or so... give or take a little bit. At that angle, going away and at a steep angle, that cuts down the perceived travel of the bullet to even less. So it'd show up as exactly what we see, a dark smudgy blur.

To get those totally crisp and clear shots where you can even see the rifle marks on the round, yeah... high speed camera and lighting. But this is legit... absolute perfect timing, one in a million type shot with a phone.

Great picture on every aspect---S7 camera, gun, gun flash. I can't wait to get to the range to see if I can get a shot like that with my S7 edge and my S&W M&P 9mm.

The techniques of freezing super fast motion involve super short duration strobes.
Definitely not the case being ejected because the action is still locked.

If you were to download the pic and look at the exif you'd probably see a shutter of about 1/60 it's indoors, no strobe and a max of 800 iso. 1/3000 is utter fantasy

Your correct, the shutter is too slow indoors to even capture that, by the time the action closes the spent case is gone.

Pistols blowback. The pistol has moved so the 'alignment' will be off. Either is possible but expecting the pistol to line up with the trajectory of the bullet after the bullet leaves the pistol isn't likely. :-

Well, perhaps.. but we don't have the exif data so that's speculation. Technically speaking, the shot is possible.

But you do have the EXIF data. You just download the picture and open it in an image editing program to view the info. The S7 maxes at a relatively low ISO and it's an indoor shot so technically speaking only a slow shutter is possible.

Bullets are way down range before the recoil moves the pistol or the action opens.
