So if I have an option to connect to my smartphone (S7 Edge) with either BT or wifi which will drain the S2's battery more slowly? With smartphones it has been my experience that BT draws a lot more power than wifi.

This would be when I'm home or in the office where I have good wifi available. I recognize that when out and about the only way to link the S2 with the phone will be with BT.

What's your take on which is the better option?

I've had my s2 on both solid WiFi and Bluetooth. I'd have to say that Bluetooth drains it faster.

I'm not sure if when your on WiFi only if you'll get notifications from your phone.

BT definitely drains faster over the past week with my S2. You still receive notifications on WiFi.
