Well, I was lucky enough to purchase a s7 edge (935F) with a veryy unusual defect of the display or glass.
At first I was hoping that is one of the edge features, but soon enough my hopes were crushed with reality... Have anyone met such ugly thing?

I purchased it from a US ebay seller and mailed to Russia through a forwarding company, so it will be huge pain in the *** to return it to the seller and will lose money on mailing it back to the US.

Added: I made my research in these forums, it seems to be a rare but common issue for all edge models.
But still I will appreciate your support on the case :)

Try to contact Samsung and see it you can sent it in for repair.

Sure, 1st thing tomorrow morning I'm going to visit Samsung Service center. But I know they will deny to replace it here in Russia because the phone is bought outside of Russia. Maybe they will agree to replace the screen for like 300-400 USD, but I am not going of course.

Another strange thing about my phone - I just found an app called SHAHID and was kinda surprised... (in Russia islamic suicide bomber is called Shahid) but apparantely it is fine lol Samsung Smart Hub

I've had the same dead pixels but at the bottom. I got the phone replaced. It is actually very rare there's only very few people that reported this issue. We re just unlucky I guess.

The fun thing is that they are not dead pixels actually, I can see image under the spot but it's very very dim like watching through a very powerful sun shades.

I have the same semi-circle dead area like you. See it here:

They did a warranty claim and I'm likely getting a refurbished phone...which sucks since I paid for a new phone. Plus, they said if Samsung opens it and sees a crack they will charge me $300. It is a defect so I'm not too worried but if they do charge me, come October hello iPhone 7. How did others get a replacement phone on the spot?

It happened with me. But it is green spot but very difficult to locate. Somehow I managed to convince Samsung India and they are replacing the screen. But still it had not come to my hand. I detected it on last Monday and expect to get back the device from service center by next Wednesday. The screen is not readily available in Pune. Thus they have to bring either from Mumbai or Delhi. I am using 2 Years old HTC 820 Desire. Frustrating that Samsung does not replace the device.

I have the same spot. Mine is on the upper left corner. Half circle. This is somewhat bull**** because all ATT will do is give me a refurbish phone which I paid for a NEW phone. I think that's the stupidest policy ever!!! So basically getting the shaft twice, 1st for a defect then 2nd getting a used phone.
