S7 Edge Performance Issues

Anyone having issues with slowdown and battery drain? Performance and battery life were amazing until this week. Under battery settings I'm seeing "android core apps" as the problem, eating up to 40 percent. I have already wiped the cache. I carry a work and personal phone. Testing 4 phones now all set up the exact same (note 4, note 5, s7, and s7 edge. The other phones are performing as expected. I really want to like the s7 edge, any ideas other than a factory reset?

Go to Settings > System > Battery and click "More" in the top right corner, then click "Optimize battery usage". Tap "Apps not optimized" and change it to "All apps" and make sure they are turned on. This should help with battery life as well as the heating issue causing the processor to slow down.

Another thing that may help is turning off fast cable charging. Fast cable charging tends to heat up the phone if you are using it during fast charging. Best of luck!
