Is there a way to turn off slit-screen mode?

For some reason I keep hitting something that makes my device think I want to go into split screen mode. Any idea of there is a way to turn this office since I never use it?

I think it's a bug. I get that phantom press all the time, even when watching a video 2' away from the phone. I can't find that darn setting as well. It's supposed to be solved with the new update that's rolling around.

It's a pain - can't wait to receive the update if indeed it fixes it. Would be great to turn it off because I never use that feature.
