When I grip this phone I'm constantly pressing the edges and causes me all sorts of issues. I'll be typing and it will press and then back out of my app or type something else. I'm using the clear samsung case and a TPU case and having issues with both.

I'm trying to adjust how I hold it but it's still causing me issues.

I used to when I was caseless but I got a Spigen one on now and have no issues. I learned how to balance it in my hand and such.

I agree it is much easier with the Spigen case. I have the ultra hybrid.

Maybe I'll try that one. I have the liquid crystal one now and it's not helping.

Yep that is the case I use as well . I use the Liquid Crystal as my "pool hall case", Zen. I can say it definitely isn't as easy to hold as the Neo Hybrid.

I think you guys are talking about different cases. He said Ultra Hybrid. http://www.amazon.com/Galaxy-Spigen%...cUvbUpU5136730

Have you adjusted the way you hold the phone at all since switching to the Edge?

Oops yeah I use the Neo Hybrid. I had to adjust at first but since getting the case I just hold it in my left (or right) hand and put the side against my palm and balance it on my pinky .. From there I can do whatever without issue.

I have no case, and it took about a month to learn how to handle the phone.

There is supposed to be a fix for this released by Samsung, designed to reduce these errant touch events. Search with terms like "Samsung S7 Edge Palm Rejection" to see details on this from numerous reports of the issue.

Touch response is much better after the fix. I never had problems with edge touches but did have issues with the screen being too sensitive in general. It's great now

What do you do differently than you did with your previous phone?

Which particular one are you using?

It's most likely user error and not case related. It's a nice case for the price.

I let it lay flat on my palm instead of gripping it, and scroll or touch with my other hand, or my pinkie is under the bottom and I can scroll with my thumb (of the same hand).

I pick it up at the corner edges of the phone, or only touching the very front and back (when locked, of course) When I text, I cradle it in both hands (laced fingers) with my pinkies at the bottom, holding it up and text with thumbs.

I'm 5'-3" and have typical female hands, so it can be done, it's just what you're comfy with.

I found my Edge to be nearly impossible to use effectively without a case. I got a Spigen Neo Hybrid, and it made all the difference.

With the new PD3 software update, the problem when not using the case is greatly reduced, though still very bad when using Swiftkey as my default keyboard. Oddly this isn't the case when I switch to the native Samsung keyboard.

I also purchased the Spigen neo hybrid case and haven't had any inadvertent edge screen touches. Works well. Now if I can just find a good glass screen protector.
