Even after going to App Manager and showing system apps which then listed "Calendar Storage", clear cache and data did result in clearing the calendar entries. But the next time I refreshed Google Calendar, the "Unfortunately" popup came back. I even uninstalled Calendar and the problem persisted. The only thing that made it go away was to Reset my phone back to factory. I am using a tool on my PC called Mobisynapse to sync my outlook calendar to my phone. It's paired with the mOffice app on the phone. I noticed this problem after the first sync. Oddly, when I performed the Samsung Smart Switch between the Edge and my older Galaxy with Android 4.2.2, the contacts and calendar came over fine. The older Galaxy has no issues at all with the sync. So I think part of it is due to the difference between Android versions. But I really don't want to Reset my phone again. I have also booted into recovery mode and formatted the entire cache partition which did not solve the problem. But I'm thinking there's some other data Calendar Storage must be reading. I can induce the error simply by Disabling Calendar Storage and then re-enabling it. Where might I go look?

Welcome to Android Central! I'm afraid I don't have a good answer for you, but would you consider migrating your data to Google Calendar and Contacts, so that the sync is much smoother? Or are you required to use Outlook? Reliable syncing between Outlook and Android has always been difficult to achieve.
