New S7 Edge on Verizon Pandora question

Hi guys so I just switched from att to Verizon and traded my note 5 in and took advantage of the buy one get one free s7 edges they had going.

So I've got my phone all setup and I notice a few differences. When I'm using Pandora for instance. On my note 5 I could swipe from the top of the screen and where the notifications were at the top a Pandora widget was there and I could pause it or resume play or skip a track from there. The same would also show up on my lock screen. Well on my new s7 edge I don't have that anymore and I can't seem to find it as a setting. If anyone has any idea on how I can get this back that would be great. Not sure if this a Verizon thing, s7 edge thing, or a marshmallow thing?

Yes exactly like that. It would also show up on the lock screen.

I just figured it out. Apparently I had notifications turned off in the phone settings under notifications for the app.
