finger print scanner locking me out

so I have the finger print scanner on my galaxy s7edge, works great, but I carry my phone around in my pocket and I guess it try's to attempt to log in after so many failed attempts it locks me out, I've taken my phone out and been locked out for 30 minutes before, this is really annoying as it happens allot and would really like to resolve it or I'm up against turning fingerprint scanner off..... please help!!

Unless you keep pressing the home button or the power button constantly, the scanner shouldn't be reading your fingerprint all the time. Have you tried activating the option to not turn on the display if it's in a pocket? This might help.

Or getting a flip case that covers the button.

Agreed with SD--the home button must be getting pressed while in your pocket. Try to arrange it differently in your pocket, perhaps?

I have the exact same problem, this just makes me wanna go back to apple again. Is there anyway to turn off the locking-and-cant-get-in mechanism?
