I also came from the note 5. Mine didn't have good battery life but quick charge really made up for that inconvenience.

But this s7e is unbelievable. Never had a phone last long (maybe the ip6+) really pleased. And that screen though...is it better or is it placebo?

Interesting to see Chrome so much lower in % than the screen. Do you do much stuff other than browse or has Chrome really cut back in the battery it uses? My % for the Samsung browser nearly always matches the screen %, so I might give Chrome a try again and see.

I got the s7 edge and gave my note 5 to my daughter.

Battery life has been great! I bounced between the notes and the verizon moto droids w huge battery life so ive always been kind of spoiled. The note5 was a let down for me after the marshmallow update.

I plan on getting the note7 if the battery life is on par w my s7 edge. Hopefully the battery will be 4000mah and not 3600mah, since the note7 will be bigger.

Do you have poor reception all day? Maybe you have more apps running in the background...
I mean my reception at home isn't the greatest, I get 1-2 bars as you can see in the screenshot. But at work I get 4 bars. Maybe the days I am home my battery life is worse due to reception? I will have to pay more attention to that. Any type of resolution to the poor reception or is what it is?

My battery life was great until two days ago and now it's horrendous and I've no idea why. I haven't downloaded anything. It's gone from using next to nothing overnight - 2% - to using 25%. A huge jump and it's like it was in the first week or two. I haven't installed anything but a few Google apps updated themself a couple of days ago.

Have you done a security update recently?

I think I am noticing that since the june security update I did, the battery doesn't seem as great. I am on AT&T, anyone else concur?

Yeah I had same problem...but as I had faulty display..I sent it for warranty...and told them battery life was bad as well...They changed my display and battery. Now battery life seems very good..2 days to 1 day few hours after I installed all my apps..obviously my phone was wiped out to factory reset and latest firmware

Just got the July update and my standby time improved by more than two hours. Nice. GSAM still reports the same screen on time used during the day, but overall battery consumption decreases. I used to be able to expect 15-16hrs standby time with 4-5hrs screen on time and data left on (in a hospital with lots of walls between you and outside that's not a good idea), now I get readings of >18hrs standby time.

Ok I work in a hospital basement with horribe signal but am always on wifi and don't always stay in the basment. I used to leave work after 8 hours with 30% or so and never have to charge my phone at work. I got the July update and am with Sprint and am guessing that did it. I was down to 5% last night and had to charge my phone. It's been happening alot lately and I used to never have to charge my phone at work. My friend leaves her location on all day and gets great battery life much better than me. I don't know what happened all of a sudden or if it's an app causing it. I did set my phone to restart once a week to help and I cleared out cache but I know their is another way to go into some mode and clear cache too but I forgot how.

Also under battery what is this app power saving mode do I leave it on it says saves power after an app isn't used for 3 days. Mine's been on and than I found optimize batter usage do I turn that on for apps I have unlimited data also but it says turn on for individual apps to save power. Just trying to figure out what happened all of a sudden. And I would like to be able to leave my location on all day I leave it on the the middle one alot cause I check in not on the GPS one. if that makes a difference on battery I don't know. Just mad cause I got great battery life in the beginning.

Nope. Not even in the US.

Sometimes updates cause cache conflicts for whatever reason making some systems go eat up a lot of battery. You need to clean out system cache.

Turn off the phone then press power+home+volume up. Let go of power when you see the Samsung logo, but keep on pressing home+volume up. You'll get to a recovery mode where you can clear out system cache. Just be careful that you don't accidentally select factory reset.

Battery remaining at time was 15% (Battery Saver kicked in at that percentage).

Model G935F running TW. Auto brightness approx. 40 - 50%. Wifi on, Location off.
