file last modified off by 8 hours on new SD card

Have a weird situation here. I have a Galaxy S7 Edge and I took my 64 gig memory card, moved all files to my MAC and then moved them to a 128 SD card.

Everything was fine on the original card but now all photos in my gallery and bumped up by 8 hours.

For example a picture with a 2PM last modified is now 10pm.

What is even stranger is the SD card shows correct values in OSX, Windows and a different HTC Phone.

Is the Windows modified label not the same on Android?
Any idea what is going on?

There are at least 3 dates associated with a file - last modified data is only one of them. And it either will or won't show the last time the file was copied, depending on the OS.

Yup. On Windows you can actually change as to which of the 3 dates you want to see.

When you say 3 do you mean these 3?

Or are there 3 different versions of modified?



This should match android though, correct?

Which one of those three match and you'll know how "Last modified" is represented.

I just took this SD card and loaded it into another phone and everything looks good.
Going to try a format on the SD card and do it again.

Very strange.

Update: I determined files moved using OSX are causing this issue.
What is weird is OSX, Windows and my HTC Last modified date are correct but my Samsung is not.

I moved the files using Windows instead of OSX and we are good.

Any ideas what is happening?
