When I try to activate Wi-Fi calling on my S7E, Sprint as my carrier, I get an Enablement Error. This means the phone couldn't verify my address for 911 purposes so that ends the Wi-Fi calling activation. Sprint website says go out and change your address using the Verify Location tab in your account, but that tab doesn't exist in my account. The local Sprint stores have been useless. One threw up their hands and said there was nothing they could do. They sent me to another Sprint store where their solution was to do a factory reset, but no guarantees that would fix it.

At one point Wi-Fi calling worked great. Then one night Sprint assigned my number to somebody else by mistake. After an hour or so at the Sprint store got it back and the other person got their correct number back. However, since the switch I get the enablement error. And Sprint seems unable to solve the problem.

Anybody else run into this error and get it solved?

I would have a problem reenabling Sprint wifi calling on the Edge when I switched to an IPhone and then back to my Edge when I got tired of the IPhone. Not sure what router you are using, but I am using a dual band Netgear and I had to make sure both the wifi and wifi calling were on the same connection while "forgetting" or cancelling the other. Example-I have listed under wifi Neatgear35 and Neatgear35 5G. I had to make sure both were on the 5G.

I couldn't get WiFi calling to work on my second Edge (worked fine on the first). Finally ended up with a factory reset, and it works fine since then.

As mentioned in my post, all worked flawlessly before Sprint accidentaly switched my number. I've purposely avoided changing any settings because of that factor. Methinks the problem is something on Sprint's end. Their second level service opened a ticket and said they'd call me back in a couple of days. That was almost two weeks ago.

Update! thanks to the Sprint Oklahoma City Customer Care Team all is now well. If I understand what happened, my account had to be "zeroed-out", i.e. all features/options were zeroed out, cancelled. One-by-one they were added back in to reflect what I should have. After a re-provisioning and restart on my end, Wi-Fi calling is back and working well!
