I bought a galaxy s7 edge on swappa but it says it has to verify account of original owner. Are there any work arounds?

Not really. You will have to contact the seller and get the password for the Google account in question.

I work for AT&T and see this all the time. I like local sales better because then people can see that the activation lock has been cleared. Selling phones online is a buyer beware situation.

Thanks for the response. I have attempted to contact the seller but they are not replying.

Contact swappa since they are the ones who offer a safe site to buy and sell from.
Im guessing you also paid with Paypal. Contact them as well.
