37 degrees this morning... I made hot coffee and put it in my
thermos... got in the car and then... :(

Well, I imagine the hot temperature plus chemicals in the coffee might be harder on the water-proofing seals than just regular water.

I hope nothing happens to your device...

wait... what chemicals in my coffee? :(

it looks and works fine... I just hope the heat from the hot coffee didn't damage the seals or anything. when I dropped it in an un-flushed airport toilet at LHR last month, I washed it for almost 5 minutes.

I don't trust and device to be water resistant or proof. If you read the fine print there is no warranty from water damage it's almost a sales gimmick.
