you should be glad with updates bro, it just mean that they are working hard to give you a better experience in android, and it also mean that your current os is not optimized

Right now it worries me they may be pushing too much out to try and fix the note 7 issue that could cause my 2 day old s7e to burn up. It's so hot I can't pick it up.

Jgraves you have two threads going on about this issue. It might be just you as I've only had one update requiring a reboot since yesterday.

Perhaps your updates are not installing correctly, so it keeps trying?

Is your phone new? It just might be installing backlogged securitt updates because it was never on before.

Yep new. But they seem to be new updates not old ones. They all installed though.

My AT&T just spontaneously rebooted but I have no idea why. I'm new to Samsung/Android - is there an update history anywhere, or do they install updates without warning or notice and reboot your phone "whenever"?

No you have to install when it pops up. That may be what some updates were for.

Nope. There's a setting for automatically installing updates without pop-up confirmation. You have to turn that off.
