Hi there. Tried taking some nice pictires of a firepit, but I kept getting purple fringing all over the screen. I cleaned the lens without any difference. Any suggestions?

Is it only on the fire pit shots? Looks like the auto mode wasn't able to get the white balance right.
This is normal for cheap digital camera lenses when very light and very dark areas are adjacent. Look up purple fringing on Wikipedia.

Good Canon or Nikon DSLR lenses can cost upwards of $500. And that is for the lens only, not the sensor.

It was annoying. I used my wife's iPhone - no fringe. Usually, the Samsung camera is better. I looked back at some of my other night shots - they all do this.
